6 months!

Time has past and Emmerlyn is doing great!! She is actually almost 7 months!! We had her 6 month check up today. She got one needle and took it pretty well, she is 15 pounds and 15 oz! She is in the 50 percentile for her weight, so very average. Her height however is in the 95 percentile!!! She is 27 1/2 inches long! She is tall and lean. And very healthy. She’s turning a bit orange due to the sweet potatoe and squash she eats. I don’t give her the yellow/ orange veggies very often because Atticus also turned orange when he started solids so I have been watching how much of them she eats, but I guess it’s just in their genes lol. It’s totally fine tho. It’s not bad to turn orange. Just looks kinda weird lol.
Emmerlyn can almost sit on her own. She has very good balance and she can put weight on her legs for a good while. Doc was very happy to see this, for any baby it’s a good sign and in Emmerlyns case it’s superb!! She’s such a miracle. And the thing I love about my doc is she also believes Emmerlyn is a miracle from God and a blessing. I could squeeze her so tight that I could break her because I am so happy she is here in this world with me and my family. God has big plans for her, I hope she loves Him and never forgets how much He loves her.
Her back also looks good. It’s still a bump. I have been told it will go away over time but it looks the same to me as it did after her surgery. It’s been 3 1/2 months. Doc felt it and when she pushes on it it goes flat but she didn’t really say that it would go away… I guess it’s a wait n see thing. Maybe it will always be there, and that’s ok.
I’m still nursing her and I still love it. It was rough awhile back when she started solids she kinda refused me but I forced her to stick to it lol a part of me dosnt want her to grow up… It was the total opposite with Atticus. I couldnt wait for him to grow out of it. Time just flyes by and when u think about it it really is just for a short while.
Emmerlyn has lived 3 months with a bump and 3 months without so I think it’s a good time to show a before and after photo of her back. Here it is…

I look at it now and still can’t believe how big it really was and how fortunate we are to be living in a day in age where someone in Emmerlyns condition can be operated on at such a young age. We are truly blessed.
I have started babysitting my niece Lacey 3 – 4 days out of the week and it has been going really good. Atticus can get a bit bored at home and having her around keeps him a little more occupied. It’s double the trouble and twice as loud around here but we have a good routine and they can play nice together… Sometimes lol. They have their days. And who dosnt. Anyways it’s good “practice” for school in September.
Here we go with some more pics!
My parents just got a new puppy!!! His name is Kuyper, he is a bull mastiff and he is 8 weeks old. Pretty dang cute!!

Took the kids swimming a couple weeks ago and Emmerlyn was putting up a bit of a fight at first but by the end of it she was splashing away and water logged lol.
